Irregular verbs

The verbs that break the pattern, tense by tense. The screen lists one row for each tense that has irregular verbs, with the number of verbs it covers ("… irregular verbs"). Opening a row starts Produce the conjugation on exactly those verbs in that tense, so every question is a form the conjugation tables mark in red.

Which verbs count. A verb counts as irregular in a tense when the conjugation table colours part or all of one of its forms there — the same colours you see in the tables (see The conjugation colour code (Spanish)).

What the list shows.

  • The rows follow the order of the tenses in the app.
  • A tense needs at least three irregular verbs to get a row.
  • A tense whose set of irregular verbs is exactly the same as that of a tense already listed gets no row of its own: drilling the first one covers both.
  • The verbs come from the whole catalogue, not from your verb selection.

The first time you open the screen it scans the catalogue, which takes a moment ("Scanning the catalogue…").

In the drill. Each row opens the usual Produce the conjugation screen with its Type / Pick control, feedback and Skip. The verbs and tense are fixed by the row you chose, so the Incorrect answers switch is not shown.
