Tests

The Tests page holds every test for your level on one page: the level in the chip with the flag (on the Mac, at the top of the sidebar). Change the level there and the page follows; at All levels it shows everything. It is a way to find out what you already know, rather than a place to learn something new.

Vocabulary comes first: one Meaning test that mixes the words of every type up to your level — verbs, nouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, other vocabulary and set phrases. Pronouns and numerals keep a meaning test of their own under their word type.

Below it, each word type lists its tests, in the order of Self Study, as they stand at your level. A test appears at the level where its subject is taught and stays in every level after it: a tense's test appears at the level that brings the tense in.

The book button beside a test opens the theory of its word type, for when a test shows you are not there yet. A round with less than 70% correct also ends with Review the theory, which opens the same page.

Your level's words. Vocabulary, Produce the conjugation, Recognise the conjugation, the noun and adjective tests and, in Spanish, the verb-form tests (participio, gerundio, indefinido, future stem, subjunctive stems, short tú, stem and spelling changes) ask every word and every tense up to your level, whatever you have selected in Self Study. The other tests use your Self Study selection, as they do in the hubs.

Only new at this level, in Scheme and level, narrows the tests to what your level adds: Vocabulary asks the words new at your level, the conjugation tests ask every verb you know in the tenses new at your level, the Spanish form tests ask the new verbs, and the noun and adjective tests the new nouns and adjectives.

Answers count like any other drill's, in My Progress and in the adaptive engine.
