Welcome to the LinguaMorpha User Guide. Use the navigation on the left to explore each section of the app.
What's in this guide¶
- LinguaMorpha (Main Screen) — Your starting point. A quick tour of the home screen and how to navigate the app.
- Settings — Global app preferences: interface language, native language, speech, session size, dictionary services, and data management.
- Self Study — Choose what to study: Verbs, Nouns, Phrases, or Words.
- Verbs Coach — Deep-dive into Spanish verbs with dedicated setup, study, and test modes.
- Nouns Coach — Practise gender, plurals, and alternate-gender pairs.
- Phrases — Set phrases and common Spanish expressions (greetings, time, social formulas).
- Words — Single-word vocabulary that isn't a verb or noun: adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, numbers.
- Guided Grammar Lessons — Structured curriculum mode if you'd rather the app decide what to study next.
Verbs Coach at a glance¶
The Verbs Coach has three areas:
Setup — Choose which verbs and tenses to work on before you start.
- Selecting Verbs — Filter by CEFR level, frequency, topic, or verb group.
- Selecting Tenses — Toggle individual tenses on or off.
Study — Learn at your own pace with reference material.
- Conjugation Tables — Full tables for every verb, irregular forms colour-coded.
- Word Meanings — Browse Spanish ↔ your language translations.
Tests — Put your knowledge to the test.
- Conjugation Drill — Type or pick the correct conjugated form.
- Word Meanings Flashcard — Flip cards to reveal translations.
- Recognition — See a conjugated form; identify verb, tense, and person.
- Gerund (Gerundio) — Recall the gerund form of each verb.
- Past Participle — Recall the past participle of each verb.
- Preterite (Indefinido) — Recall the yo and él indefinido forms.
Nouns Coach at a glance¶
The Nouns Coach has the same Setup / Study / Test layout.
Setup — Select Nouns by CEFR level, frequency, and topic.
Study — Reference material:
- Meaning Study — searchable list with translations.
- Alternate Gender Explained — nouns whose meaning changes with el / la.
- Noun Gender Rules — patterns for predicting gender from the ending.
- Plural Formation — the -s / -es / -ces rules and accent shifts.
Tests — Active practice:
- Meaning Test — flashcards for noun ↔ translation.
- Pick the Correct Article — el or la?
- Singular / Plural — produce the plural form.
- Alternate Gender Pairs — drill nouns that change meaning with the article.
