Verbs
The Verbs hub
Theory, Study and Practice in one place: verb groups, tenses, the regular and irregular patterns, the verb reference and the drills.
The verb, in full
Conjugation · Regularity · Reference sheet. Every tense, with the ending the pattern predicts underlined.
Irregulars marked, not just listed
Red falls only on the part of a form that departs from the pattern — the stem change of abstenerse, the yo -go — so you see exactly where a verb is irregular, and by how much.
Select verb groups
Twenty-three groups in nine sections: tick a whole section, such as every stem change, or a single pattern.
Select tenses
Switch tenses on and off by section or by CEFR level, from the presente to the pluperfect subjunctive.
The whole verb in one window
All sixteen tenses without scrolling, with the irregular letters marked in red and the ending the pattern predicts underlined.
A real Mac app, not a stretched phone
A sidebar for the sections, the list beside it, and the detail open at the same time.
Drills
Produce the conjugation
Give the form for a verb, tense and person — type it, or pick it from a list of look-alikes.
Recognise the conjugation
Given a form, name the verb, tense and person. Any valid reading of an ambiguous form counts.
Preterite
The yo and él forms of the indefinido, where the strong preterites show; Listen reads the verb aloud.
Phrases
Over 270 set phrases, drilled in either direction, with speech.
Nouns
Noun grammar
The endings that usually settle gender, the standard pairs, plurals, and the exceptions that catch everyone — read it here, then drill it in the hub.
The gender traps
Nouns whose ending points the wrong way — la mano, el mapa, la cava — in a closed deck that needs no setup.
