Cuestiones abiertas

  • valoir — imperatif_present · second · DIFFERS — vaux, not vaus. valoir writes -x in the first and second person singular (je vaux, tu vaux) and the impératif follows the présent tu, so vaux. Named in check_oracle_ratchet.py's header as one of the judgement calls that make the diff unsuitable as a gate; this is where it is written down. One cell, and the only French disagreement in 36,910.
  • absoudre, distraire, extraire … (5) · we suppress — The -aire verbs and two neighbours have no passé simple and no subjonctif imparfait — a defectiveness the catalogue declares and the engine honours at step 0.3, and the same fact that made five corpus rows teaching *tu soustrayis* a finding rather than a typo. Every suppressed cell of theirs is in those two tenses.
  • pleuvoir, grêler · we suppress — Impersonal: il pleut, il grêle, and no other person (the impersonal flag; tonner is not on it, because it thunders against a government too, and the oracle and we agree on its full table). Named in diff_paradigm_against_reference.py's own header as the canonical case — 'Wiktionary conjugates pleuvoir in full; we restrict it'.
  • devoir, décéder, résulter — imperatif_present · we suppress — No imperative, for the same reason as the Spanish group above: *décède!* and *résulte!* are not things one says, and devoir's imperative is unused in modern French. Three cells each — tu, nous, vous — and nothing outside the impératif.
